Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, with weekend and holiday rotation

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert nursing care to neuro telemetry patients, including those with CVA, TBI, spinal surgery, and encephalopathy
Titrate critical drips such as Amio, Cardizem, and Insulin with precision
Interpret cardiac rhythms and manage central monitoring systems
Collaborate with a dedicated care team including charge nurses and nurse aides
Perform bedside report and ensure seamless shift transitions
Maintain sterile field during Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, with Level 1 Trauma experience required
Active BLS and ACLS certification
Must pass a dysrhythmia exam and a pass/fail SIMs lab on Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
Neuro experience highly preferred
Must have natural hair color, no facial piercings, and men must be clean shaven for fit test
Ability to titrate Amio, Cardizem, and Insulin drips

Knowledge & Skills

EKG interpretation and central monitoring
Cerner EMR proficiency
Titration of intravenous medications
Neuro assessment and care for complex neurological conditions
Sterile technique and infection control
