Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM); schedules released 4-6 weeks ahead with two formats: Option A (single facility for the week) or Option B (Just-In-Time assignment with facility notified 1-2 hours before shift). May include 6-9 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule and holiday rotation.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional nursing care across multiple units within the MS-Tele float pool
• Float between facilities in Zone 1, including Penrose, St. Francis, and St. Mary Corwin
• Manage diverse patient populations including cardiac, neuro, oncology, ortho, and general medicine
• Monitor telemetry and titrate Heparin drips as needed
• Collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Adapt quickly to different unit environments and patient acuities

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience required
• Active RN license in Colorado or compact state
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Ability to float across multiple facilities within a 60-mile radius
• Strong adaptability and flexibility in scheduling
• Prior neuro experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of cardiac, neuro, oncology, and general medical-surgical nursing
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and heparin titration
• Ability to manage patient ratios of 1:5-6 based on acuity
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and time-management skills
• Comfort with electronic health records and facility protocols
