Location: Fort Morgan, Colorado

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, weekends required half of all weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday), 36 hours per week

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $76 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to laboring mothers and newborns in a rural LDRP setting
Perform triage, assessment, and monitoring of pregnant women using AWHONN guidelines
Function as the baby catcher and transition nurse for newborns
Administer and titrate Pitocin as needed
Utilize OBIX EFM system for fetal monitoring
Collaborate with a small team to ensure safe deliveries and postpartum care

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of L&D experience required
Must be trained in LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum)
Ability to triage and function as baby catcher/transition nurse
Current certifications: ALS, NRP, AWHONN EFM (or obtain prior to start)

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of labor and delivery nursing, including high-risk pregnancies
Proficient in fetal monitoring and interpretation (AWHONN EFM)
Experience with titratable drips, specifically Pitocin
Ability to work in a rural hospital with limited resources and on-call physician support
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
