Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care to MICU patients, managing ventilators and advanced life support with confidence
• Perform and assist with ICU procedures such as central line care, intubations, cardioversions and bedside thoracentesis
• Document patient care accurately in Meditech and communicate changes to the care team
• Monitor hemodynamics using equipment like GE cardiac output monitors and respond to changes promptly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized patient plans
• Maintain patient safety and unit standards while floating as needed across ICU areas

Qualifications

• Active RN license in TX (temporary licenses will not be accepted)
• 2+ years MICU/MSICU clinical experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• CCRN preferred
• Experience with ventilator management, dialysis equipment (NXStage), Arctic Sun, and GE monitoring equipment
• Comfortable with critical care procedures and fast-paced ICU environments
• Proven ability to document in Meditech or similar electronic health record systems

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong ventilator management skills and familiarity with ventilator-focused protocols
• Proficient in Meditech documentation and electronic charting
• Knowledge of ICU equipment including NXStage dialysis machines, Arctic Sun, and GE cardiac output monitoring
• Skilled in advanced cardiac life support and rapid response for critically ill patients
• Ability to prioritize acuity-based assignments and collaborate across disciplines
