Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, rotating weekends and holidays as needed

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced 18-bed emergency department
Triage and assess patients with a variety of acute conditions
Administer medications, IV therapy, and emergency interventions
Interpret telemetry and EKG strips to monitor cardiac status
Collaborate with charge nurse, hospitalists, and multidisciplinary team
Document patient care accurately in Cerner EMR

Qualifications

Active RN license in California
Minimum 1 year recent ER experience required
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications mandatory
Ability to work 12-hour shifts, every other weekend, and rotating holidays
Must pass Dysrhythmia exam (UNA) within 12 months prior to start

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in telemetry and EKG interpretation
Experience with Cerner EMR
Strong critical thinking and rapid decision-making skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Knowledge of emergency care protocols and trauma management
