Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor telemetry and cardiac rhythms vigilantly to keep patients safe and respond quickly when changes occur
• Deliver direct patient care on a 36-bed med-surg telemetry unit, prioritizing compassionate, evidence-based nursing
• Document assessments and interventions accurately in Cerner to ensure continuity of care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to prepare patients for procedures (Endoscopy, IR, OR) and smooth transitions of care
• Utilize remote telemetry monitoring systems and VC150 patient observation tools to enhance bedside surveillance
• Serve as a reliable team member on day shifts and support staffing needs across sister med-surge units when needed

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state or compact) — current and in good standing
• BLS certification (required)
• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience (telemetry/med-surg experience strongly preferred)
• Familiarity with medical telemetry monitoring and patient observation technology
• Experience with Cerner EMR and bedside documentation workflows
• CMSRN encouraged (preferred), BSN preferred
• Leadership or charge nurse experience a plus and helpful when stepping into unit leadership moments
• Ability to work rotating schedules and commit to required weekend coverage
