Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to a diverse acuity patient population including ICU, PCU, and MST patients in our Multi Care Unit
• Monitor and titrate critical drips such as sedation, vasopressors, and insulin
• Perform 12-lead EKGs and interpret cardiac rhythms with bedside monitoring
• Collaborate with charge nurse, respiratory therapy, and multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Float as needed to EC MST, Pediatrics, or West Campus to maintain competency and support hospital needs

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted RN license in Arizona or compact state
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience; 1 year ICU plus 1 year PCU/Med Surg may be considered with strong skills
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam with 80% within two attempts prior to start
• Comfortable with titration of vasoactive medications and ventilator management

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical care and telemetry skills
• Proficiency in 12-lead EKG interpretation and cardiac monitoring
• Experience with drips: sedation, vasopressors, insulin
• Ability to adapt to varying patient acuities within one unit
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
