Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM / 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend and holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care to critically ill adults in a fast-paced Med Surg ICU
Monitor and titrate vasopressors, paralytics, sedatives, and antiarrhythmics
Manage ventilators, CRRT, and advanced hemodynamic monitoring (EV-1000, Swan-Ganz)
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including attendings, fellows, and residents
Interpret telemetry strips and respond to changes in patient condition
Participate in code blue and rapid response teams as needed

Qualifications

At least 2 years of recent ICU experience required
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Driver's license required to verify radius compliance
Ability to pass an open-book exam during orientation (90% passing score required)
Willingness to float to all inpatient units except Maternity/NICU

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in telemetry interpretation and central monitoring (Draeger system)
Experienced with titrating drips: vasopressors, sedatives, etc.
Skilled in ventilator management, CRRT, and caring for patients with impella or balloon pump (training available)
Strong critical thinking and teamwork skills
Positive attitude and commitment to high-quality patient care
