Location: Folsom, CA

Start Date: 07-07-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays. Actual schedule determined 4 weeks in advance.

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $93 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to laboring mothers, including assessment, monitoring, and support during labor and delivery
Assist with deliveries, including 'catching the baby' and immediate newborn care
Provide postpartum care for mother-baby couplets and support breastfeeding
Circulate during C-sections in the OR suite
Titrate Pitocin and occasionally insulin drips as needed
Perform NST antepartum testing and interpret fetal monitoring (AWHONN standards)
Collaborate with OB tech and charge nurse to ensure safe staffing and patient flow

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of recent LDRP experience required; 3 years preferred
Must have OR circulating experience; postpartum-only experience not accepted
Comfortable with NRP at delivery (no in-house pediatric coverage)
Current and active RN license in California
ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certifications required

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in fetal monitoring (Fetalink system) and interpretation
Ability to titrate Pitocin and insulin drips
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills in a fast-paced setting
Effective communication and teamwork in a family birthing center
Ability to float to other Sacramento facilities as needed
