Shift Type: Night shift, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, with rotating weekends (every other Friday-Saturday-Sunday) and holiday rotation.

Candidate Pay Rate: $76 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to laboring mothers and newborns in a rural LDRP setting
• Perform triage assessments for obstetric patients
• Act as the primary baby catcher and transition nurse for newborns
• Administer and titrate Pitocin and other medications as ordered
• Collaborate with on-call physicians, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary team
• Monitor fetal heart rates using OBIX EFM system
• Provide postpartum care and support to new mothers
• Assist with gynecological surgical patients as needed

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience
• Trained in LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) nursing
• Ability to function as a baby catcher and transition nurse
• BLS, NRP, and AWHONN EFM certifications required
• ACLS certification preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong triage and assessment skills in obstetric nursing
• Proficiency in titrating Pitocin and managing labor drips
• Knowledge of AWHONN guidelines for nurse-to-patient ratios
• Experience with fetal monitoring systems (OBIX)
• Ability to work independently in a rural hospital setting
• Team collaboration and communication skills
