Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Sunday, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM (12-hour NOC shifts), rotating weekends and holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $76 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to LDRP patients including labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum
Triage and assess pregnant women, newborns, and gynecological surgical patients
Function as baby catcher and transition nurse for newborns
Titrate Pitocin drips and manage active labor patients
Collaborate with on-call OB and anesthesia providers (20-minute response time)
Serve as charge nurse when assigned, taking a patient assignment alongside supervisory duties

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of L&D experience with LDRP training
Must be able to triage and function as baby catcher/transition nurse
Active RN license in Colorado or compact state
Required certifications: ALS, NRP, AWHONN EFM
Willingness to float to med-surg occasionally (rare)

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in Pitocin titration and management of labor drips
Knowledge of AWHONN guidelines for nurse-to-patient ratios
Skilled in EFM monitoring using OBIX system
Ability to work independently in a rural hospital setting
Strong teamwork and communication skills
