End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (block scheduling); every third weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $81 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to laboring mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum
Monitor and titrate IV drips such as magnesium and oxytocin
Assess and manage mother-baby couplets
Collaborate with surgical team during cesarean sections
Maintain a calm and supportive environment for patients and families
Float to MSP/ED as needed for patient sitting or helping hands

Qualifications

2 years of L&D experience required
BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
EFM experience required
Ability to titrate drips
Must pass fit testing (no facial hair) - Primary or Secondary fit test (3M Aura 1860 sm or reg/3M 1870+) or Portacount
Valid RN license in ND or compact state
Attributes: teamwork, provider consistency, knowledge, independence, good communication

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of AWHONN guidelines for nurse-to-patient ratios
Proficiency with EFM system (OB Trace Vue)
Familiarity with neonatal ventilation equipment (CPAP, BiPAP, high flow)
Experience in a rural hospital setting with limited resources
Independence and critical thinking in high-pressure situations
