Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, rotating weekends (Sat/Sun) and holidays, block scheduling available

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $80 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients in a collaborative LDRP setting
Attend and manage low-risk deliveries independently, assist with cesarean sections
Transition and care for newborns, including maternal-infant couplet care
Titrate and manage high-risk drips like Magnesium, Pitocin, and Insulin
Work alongside a supportive team including 24/7 OBGYN, NNP, and anesthesia providers
Adapt to unit workflows and embrace feedback from a manager who values quality care

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of L&D experience (1 year with multiple prior travel assignments considered)
No first-time travelers accepted
Must have LDRP experience and be comfortable with independent deliveries and circulating in c-sections
Ability to provide mother-baby couplet care and assist with newborn transition

Knowledge & Skills

Strong skills in fetal heart monitoring (intermediate or advanced FHM preferred)
Proficient in titrating magnesium sulfate, Pitocin, and insulin drips
Experience with Epic charting system
Familiarity with high-risk OB conditions (preeclampsia, diabetes, substance use, psychosocial issues)
Ability to float within mother-baby/postpartum unit (no NICU floating required)
