Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to laboring patients, assisting with deliveries, and supporting mothers and newborns
• Independently attend low-risk deliveries and circulate during cesarean sections
• Assist with newborn transition and provide postpartum care to mother-baby couplets
• Titrate medications including Magnesium, Pitocin, and Insulin as needed
• Collaborate with OB/GYNs, midwives, and neonatal nurse practitioners in a 24/7 in-house team
• Maintain a safe and compassionate environment for high-risk patients with conditions like preeclampsia, diabetes, and substance use disorders

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent LDRP experience (no first-time travelers, please)
• Active BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification preferred
• Comfortable attending deliveries independently and circulating in c-sections
• Ability to function in both Labor & Delivery and Postpartum settings
• Great references from recent assignments required for submission

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in LDRP nursing, including maternal and newborn care
• Proficiency in electronic fetal monitoring (Centricity Perinatal system)
• Experience titrating IV drips such as Magnesium, Pitocin, and Insulin
• Strong communication and teamwork skills for a fast-paced unit
• Adaptability to unit workflows, policies, and feedback
