Location: Grand Island, Nebraska

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, every other weekend and holidays as needed, start times typically 6:00 AM or 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to laboring, postpartum, antepartum, and post-surgical GYN patients
Titrate and manage IV drips including Pitocin, Magnesium, and Procardia
Collaborate with a supportive team in a Blue Distinction+ unit with high patient experience scores
Monitor and assess maternal and fetal status using AWHONN guidelines
Educate and support breastfeeding mothers and families

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience
Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
BLS and NRP certifications required
Ability to pass an open-book exam during orientation with 90% or higher
Valid driver's license required for submittal

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in IV drip titration and management
Strong understanding of AWHONN staffing ratios
Excellent communication and patient education skills
Comfortable with fetal monitoring and interpretation
Adaptable to a fast-paced maternal-child environment
