Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver expert nursing care during interventional radiology procedures including chemoembolization, Y-90, GJ tube placements, IVC filters, and vascular access
• Assist with CT-guided biopsies, ablations, ultrasound biopsies, thoracentesis, and paracentesis
• Maintain strict sterile field during all procedures to ensure patient safety
• Monitor patients pre, intra, and post-procedure in a fast-paced IR suite
• Collaborate with IR techs, CT, nuclear medicine, and ultrasound teams for seamless patient care
• Document thoroughly in Cerner EMR and communicate effectively with charge nurses and intensivists

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Arizona or compact privilege
• Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology nursing experience
• Neuro IR experience is a must
• Level I Trauma experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications current
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to start (two attempts allowed)
• Comfortable with sterile technique and pass/fail SIMs lab for Foley insertion and central line dressing changes
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for travel
• Professional appearance: natural hair color, no facial piercings, men clean-shaven for fit test

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in body IR procedures and neuro endovascular (though not required for this role)
• Strong understanding of sterile field and infection control
• Experience with Cerner electronic medical records
• Ability to manage critical care and telemetry patients
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Adaptability to fast-paced, high-acuity environment
