Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Self-scheduling, 12-hour shifts from 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, including every other weekend and holidays as needed.

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in a 33-bed ICU with an average daily census of 16
Monitor and titrate cardiac drips including insulin, sedation, and vasoactive medications
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including Nurse Aides and Respiratory Therapists
Assess and manage trauma, cardiac, stroke, overdose, and sepsis patients
Interpret telemetry strips and manage monitor alarms
Float to PCU and MedSurg units as needed, maintaining safe nurse-to-patient ratios
Participate in orientation and pass an open-book exam on skills learned

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required at time of submission
Minimum 2 years of ICU experience preferred
Driver's license required to verify 50-mile radius rule

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in reading and interpreting telemetry strips
Skilled in titration of cardiac and sedation drips
Experience with ventilator management and high-flow oxygen
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
