Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, including weekends and holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide critical care to trauma and emergency patients in a fast-paced Level 1 trauma center
Manage life-threatening situations with quick thinking and clinical expertise
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, midlevels, and techs
Perform advanced skills such as central line dressing changes, foley catheter insertion, and port-a-cath insertion
Float between multiple facilities within the system as needed
Read and interpret telemetry strips using Philips monitors

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience required
At least 6 months of Level 1 Trauma experience strongly preferred
Active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
TNCC and ATCN certifications preferred
Must pass a pass/fail DYS exam prior to accepting assignment
Natural hair color, no facial piercings, and men must be clean-shaven for fit test

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in emergency and trauma nursing
Proficiency with Cerner EMR
Competency in telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
Skilled in foley catheter insertion, central line dressing changes, and port-a-cath insertion
Ability to maintain sterile field during procedures
Strong communication and teamwork skills
