Location: Omaha, Nebraska

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Various 12-hour shifts including days, evenings, and nights (e.g., 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), weekend and holiday rotation as needed.

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to emergency patients including trauma, sepsis, chest pain, and stroke
Perform comprehensive assessments and interpret telemetry strips
Administer medications and manage IV drips common in a Level I trauma center
Collaborate with physicians, mid-levels, and interdisciplinary team members
Float to OBS unit and freestanding ER as needed

Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska or compact state
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications (NRP preferred)
Recent Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience required
Valid driver's license (used to verify 50-mile radius rule)
Ability to pass an open-book exam during orientation (90% required)

Knowledge & Skills

Strong trauma nursing and emergency care skills
Ability to read and interpret cardiac strips
Excellent critical thinking and fast-paced decision making
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Familiarity with common emergency drips and protocols
