Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts, hybrid schedule with self-scheduling, every other weekend, rotating holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population, including trauma, cardiac, and pediatric emergencies
Perform triage, patient assessment, and rapid interventions in a fast-paced Level III Trauma Center and primary stroke center
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including MDs, mid-levels, and techs to deliver high-quality care
Float between Bryan and College Station campuses as needed to support the team
Participate in shared governance and contribute to a positive unit culture

Qualifications

Must have 2+ years of recent Emergency Room experience in a similar volume, trauma level, and size facility
Must pass Advanced Dysrhythmia exam (83%) within three attempts before starting
Active Texas RN license or compact license required
BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in emergency nursing skills including triage, trauma care, and pediatric emergency care
Experience with common ER drips such as Diltiazem, Cardene, Nitro, Propofol, Fentanyl, and Levophed
Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips independently
Strong teamwork and communication skills to thrive in a high-acuity environment
