Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed PT to help patients regain mobility and independence
• Implement therapeutic exercise programs and document patient progress accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on home programs, adaptive techniques, and injury prevention
• Maintain clear, timely charting and adhere to clinic and regulatory standards

Qualifications

• Active or eligible California PTA license
• Graduation from an accredited PTA program
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred
• Previous experience in outpatient, acute care, or rehab settings is a plus
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach

Education

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in therapeutic exercise, gait training, and modalities
• Familiarity with documentation standards and electronic medical records
• Ability to follow PT treatment plans and adjust interventions appropriately
• Good clinical judgment, time management, and teamwork skills
• Comfort working with diverse patient populations and case complexities
