Roles & Responsibilities

Assess and monitor patient conditions, responding quickly to changes
Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
Document patient care clearly and promptly in the electronic medical record
Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team
Provide compassionate education and support to patients and their families
Maintain unit safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance
Participate in bedside shift reports and contribute to quality improvement

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania or compact license as applicable
Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS and specialty certifications preferred
Clinical experience in med/surg or related acute care setting is preferred
Strong communication, time management, and patient advocacy skills
Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Patient assessment and clinical judgment
Medication administration and IV therapy skills
Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation standards
Infection control practices and safety protocols
Effective teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration
Critical thinking under pressure and prioritization of care tasks
