Contract Type: Per-Diem

Candidate Pay Rate: $25 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist clinicians with patient care by taking vitals and documenting findings accurately
Prepare exam rooms, maintain supplies, and uphold infection-control standards
Perform basic clinical procedures as trained (phlebotomy, EKGs, etc.)
Update and maintain patient records in the EMR in a timely manner
Communicate compassionately with patients and families to ensure a positive experience
Support care coordination with the team to keep patient flow smooth and efficient

Qualifications

Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA) preferred; relevant diploma or certificate welcomed
Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification required or must be obtained upon hire
Clinical experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred but new grads with training are encouraged
Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-service skills
Ability to perform routine clinical tasks, stand for periods, and assist with patient positioning

Education

High school diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant diploma or certificate preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in taking vitals and performing basic clinical assessments
Phlebotomy and EKG experience a plus
Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
Knowledge of infection control practices and OSHA guidelines
Excellent patient education and interpersonal communication skills
