Shift Type: 12.5-hour Neuro ICU shifts (specific start/end times and days not provided)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, expert nursing care to Neuro ICU patients following evidence-based protocols
Assess, monitor, and document complex neurologic and critical care conditions
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
Respond to emergencies with calm, decisive action and advanced critical care skills
Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment, and recovery expectations
Contribute to unit quality improvement initiatives and patient safety efforts

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana or eligibility to obtain one
Clinical experience in Neuro ICU or adult ICU settings preferred
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS and specialty neuro certifications encouraged
Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-acuity environments

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in neurologic assessment and monitoring
Skilled with critical care equipment and monitoring systems
Familiarity with ICU documentation and EMR workflows
Team-oriented communication and collaboration skills
Ability to prioritize and manage complex patient loads
