IR Technologist (Interventional Radiology)

Location: Los Angeles, California

End Date: 09-21-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Day shift, 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week, with on-call weekends (1-2 per month)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $78 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform interventional radiologic procedures with precision and care
Operate fluoroscopy equipment to guide minimally invasive treatments
Collaborate with physicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Maintain a sterile field and adhere to safety protocols
Document procedures accurately in Cerner EMR system
Respond to on-call emergencies within 30 minutes

Qualifications

Current ARRT certification in Radiography (ARRT-VI) and California state license
BLS certification required
Fluoroscopy permit or certification
Prior experience in interventional radiology or cath lab preferred (but not required)
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in Cerner EMR and radiology information systems
Strong understanding of fluoroscopy and interventional procedures
Excellent communication and patient care skills
Ability to troubleshoot equipment and adapt to changing situations
