Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care in a telemetry setting
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and telemetry alarms, responding quickly and appropriately
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Collaborate with physicians, APs, and the care team to develop and execute care plans
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly in the medical record
- Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatments, and discharge plans
Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in California (or compact license where applicable)
- Experience working on telemetry units or similar acute care settings
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
- Strong clinical assessment skills and comfort with cardiac monitoring
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills; dependable and professional
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
- Cardiac rhythm recognition and response
- IV therapy and medication administration
- Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation
- Patient assessment, triage, and prioritization
- Effective interdisciplinary communication
