Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered critical care in the ICU — monitor, assess, and respond to rapidly changing conditions
• Manage ventilators, hemodynamic support, and advanced life-support interventions with confidence
• Coordinate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
• Administer medications safely, document care accurately, and ensure continuity of care during handoffs
• Educate and support patients and families during stressful critical-care situations
• Champion patient safety and participate in continuous-improvement efforts on the unit

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in California
• ICU nursing experience (comfortable with critical-care patient populations)
• BLS required; ACLS preferred or willingness to obtain promptly
• Strong clinical assessment skills and experience with ventilator and hemodynamic management
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and time-management abilities
• Ability to work independently for per-diem shifts and integrate quickly with existing teams

Education

• BSN preferred; ADN accepted with demonstrated ICU experience

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in critical-care nursing principles and practices
• Experience with ventilator management, titration of vasoactive medications, and advanced monitoring
• Skilled in medication administration, infusion pumps, and central line care
• Comfortable with electronic medical records and accurate clinical documentation
• Strong situational awareness and ability to prioritize in fast-paced environments
