Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess speech, language, cognitive-communication and swallowing function using evidence-based tools
• Develop individualized, measurable treatment plans to help patients reach meaningful goals
• Provide skilled therapy sessions and adapt interventions based on progress
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate comprehensive care
• Document evaluations, treatment plans and progress notes accurately and promptly
• Educate patients, families and caregivers to promote carryover and functional independence
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Current state SLP license or ability to obtain Maryland licensure
• ASHA CCC-SLP preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain
• Prior clinical experience in rehabilitation or similar settings preferred
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to complete required background checks

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required)
• Clinical fellowship completion or equivalent clinical experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of speech, language and swallowing assessment and intervention
• Ability to develop measurable treatment plans and document outcomes
• Skilled in patient and family education with a person-centered approach
• Effective communication and collaboration within interdisciplinary teams
• Comfortable using electronic medical records and clinical documentation platforms
• Good time management and caseload prioritization skills
