Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming) with dignity and respect
• Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Observe and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff in a timely way
• Provide compassionate companionship and engage residents in meaningful interactions
• Document care provided accurately and follow facility charting procedures
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
• Assist with meal service and monitor intake as directed

Qualifications

• GNA certification (required) — you are recognized as a trained Geriatric Nursing Assistant
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings/immunizations
• Comfort working with older adults and collaborating with nursing team

Education

• High school diploma or GED; completion of an approved GNA program preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of elder care principles and resident-centered care
• Basic vital signs and observational skills to notice clinical changes
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with residents and families
• Familiarity with charting and following care plans
• Safe transfer and mobility assistance techniques
• Dependability, punctuality, and a positive attitude
