Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality patient care consistent with LPN/RN scope of practice
• Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor changes in condition
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update patient care plans
• Educate patients and families about care plans, medications and discharge instructions
• Maintain clean, safe patient environments and adhere to infection control protocols
• Accurately document assessments, interventions and outcomes in the medical record

Qualifications

• Current LPN or RN license (eligible to practice in North Carolina preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or willingness to obtain
• Clinical experience in acute care or a related setting preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team
• Flexibility to work assigned day shifts and adapt to facility scheduling needs

Education

• LPN: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program or diploma
• RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and monitoring with keen attention to detail
• Medication administration and safe handling practices
• Electronic medical record documentation and charting accuracy
• Basic wound care and IV/line familiarity appropriate to licensure
• Infection control, patient safety practices and regulatory compliance
• Team collaboration, time management and prioritization skills
