Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care and assist with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes to the nursing team promptly
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility to support patient independence
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and observations
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff
• Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, families, and the care team
• Support a positive environment that promotes dignity and respect for every patient

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) in good standing
• Basic life support (BLS) preferred or willing to obtain promptly
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required immunizations
• Comfort with 12+ hour day shifts and the physical demands of patient care
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in ADLs (bathing, grooming, feeding) and incontinent care
• Proficient in taking and documenting vital signs accurately
• Knowledge of infection control, patient safety, and proper body mechanics
• Comfortable with electronic charting or paper documentation workflows
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to de-escalate stressful situations
