Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents, following care plans and facility policies
• Administer medications, document treatments, and monitor patient responses accurately
• Collaborate with RNs, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care
• Observe and report changes in patient condition promptly to support positive outcomes
• Assist with activities of daily living and encourage patient dignity and independence
• Maintain accurate, timely charting and support compliance with facility standards

Qualifications

• Current LPN license or practical nursing certification (eligible for Maine licensure preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfort working overnight shifts and providing direct patient care
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a collaborative care team
• Dependable, professional, and committed to delivering high-quality patient care

Education

• Completed practical nursing program (LPN/LVN diploma or certificate)
• High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and basic pharmacology knowledge
• Patient assessment and vital sign monitoring
• Wound care basics and ADL assistance
• Accurate charting and electronic medical record familiarity
• Teamwork, time management, and effective communication with patients and families
