Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care and clinical assessments with compassion and skill
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient-centered care
• Respond to patient changes promptly and escalate concerns appropriately
• Maintain clear, timely electronic health record documentation
• Support unit efficiency by mentoring colleagues and sharing best practices

Qualifications

• Active RN license (or eligibility for RN licensure) appropriate for practice in Maine
• Current BLS certification; ACLS or PALS as required by unit is a plus
• Clinical experience in acute care settings preferred
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
• Available for rotating 12-hour day/evening shifts and adaptable to unit needs
• Travel nursing experience is a plus but enthusiastic new travel nurses are welcome

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
• BSN preferred where available

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Proficient with medication administration and IV therapy
• Comfortable using common EHR systems for accurate documentation
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patients safely
• Basic knowledge of infection control, safety protocols, and patient advocacy
