Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy evaluations and develop personalized treatment plans that get patients moving and progressing
• Deliver hands-on therapeutic interventions, gait training, balance and functional mobility training
• Document patient progress clearly and timely in the medical record, ensuring continuity of care
• Collaborate with nurses, occupational therapists, physicians and case managers to coordinate comprehensive care
• Educate patients and families on home programs, safety and long-term wellness strategies
• Contribute to discharge planning and safe transitions back to home or the next level of care
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and share best practices to elevate patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Physical Therapist license in Washington or eligibility to obtain state licensure quickly
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Bachelor's or Master's in Physical Therapy also considered
• BLS/CPR certification required (or ability to obtain upon hire)
• Experience in inpatient rehabilitation, acute care or skilled nursing preferred
• Strong clinical reasoning, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required by facility

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Bachelor's or Master's in Physical Therapy acceptable
• State licensure required

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough knowledge of therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques and modalities
• Proficient in gait training, balance retraining and functional mobility interventions
• Familiarity with common documentation practices and electronic medical records
• Skilled at patient and family education with an emphasis on safe home programs
• Good time management, organization and the ability to prioritize caseloads effectively
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced inpatient rehab environment
