Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on each shift
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
• Perform timely patient assessments and report changes to the care team
• Collaborate with RNs, providers, and allied staff to support care plans
• Maintain accurate charting and ensure compliance with facility policies
• Support safe transitions of care including discharge planning and patient education
• Contribute to a positive team culture by mentoring colleagues and sharing best practices

Qualifications

• Current, active LPN or RN license (ability to obtain New Mexico license if required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; other certifications per facility policy
• Current clinical competency in meds, assessments, and documentation
• Ability to pass required background checks, drug screen, and compliance onboarding
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment

Education

• Graduate of an accredited LPN or RN nursing program appropriate to licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid patient assessment and clinical observation skills
• Medication administration and accurate documentation
• Comfortable using electronic medical records and standard nursing workflows
• Effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Time management, prioritization, and safe delegation when appropriate
