Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered occupational therapy interventions as a COTA under OT supervision
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and therapeutic activity programs to improve independence
• Implement and carry out individualized treatment plans and document patient progress accurately
• Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary team—nurses, therapists, and case managers—to support care goals
• Communicate clearly with patients and families to educate and encourage participation in therapy
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and adhere to facility policies and regulatory requirements
• Support smooth transitions and discharge planning by reporting changes and coordinating with the team

Qualifications

• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential (required)
• Comfortable providing LOA/FMLA coverage in a contract travel role
• Available to start on 2026-04-06 for a 13-week assignment (end date 2026-07-04)
• Ability to work the listed schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team

Education

• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in ADL training and therapeutic activity implementation
• Strong documentation and patient progress reporting
• Ability to follow treatment plans and adapt interventions to patient needs
• Good interpersonal skills for patient & family education and team collaboration
• Time management and prioritization in a busy rehabilitation setting
