Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care to patients in the Operating Room
• Prepare the OR, ensure sterile technique, and verify necessary supplies and instruments
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the perioperative team to deliver safe care
• Perform accurate patient assessments and continuous monitoring throughout the perioperative period
• Complete required documentation and competency checklists (Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing, Trinity Skills Checklist)
• Advocate for patient safety, infection control, and evidence-based practices during all phases of care

Qualifications

• Active RN license (ability to verify license/certifications required)
• Experience as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room (OR) or relevant perioperative setting
• BLS certification (required)
• ACLS certification (required)
• Ability to complete Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist
• Willingness/ability to complete required health screenings: fit test, Trinity 10-panel drug screen, COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza vaccine, 2-step PPD or IGRA, Varicella, and physical/health statement

Knowledge & Skills

• Perioperative nursing principles and sterile technique
• Surgical patient assessment and intraoperative monitoring
• Strong communication and teamwork in fast-paced OR environments
• Infection prevention and control practices
• Familiarity with surgical instrumentation and OR workflow
• Attention to detail for documentation and competency requirements
