Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor telemetry continuously and respond promptly to arrhythmias and changes in cardiac rhythm
• Assess patients regularly and document clinical status and interventions accurately
• Administer medications and treatments safely, following facility protocols and physician orders
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
• Educate patients and families about cardiac conditions, telemetry findings, and self-care
• Escalate clinical concerns in a timely manner and participate in rapid response when needed
• Maintain accurate, thorough electronic health record documentation and handoff communication

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license (California) required
• Telemetry experience and comfort with continuous cardiac monitoring
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred or encouraged
• Strong clinical assessment skills and proven experience in acute care settings
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
• Ability to pass orientation and any facility-required competency checks

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and interpretation of cardiac rhythms
• Solid patient assessment and prioritization skills
• Familiarity with electronic health record documentation and medication administration systems
• Ability to respond calmly and effectively in urgent clinical situations
• Strong teamwork, time management, and patient-centered communication skills
