Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor cardiac telemetry and promptly identify changes in rhythm or condition
Provide focused, compassionate patient care during the 12-hour day shift
Perform thorough assessments and communicate changes to the care team
Administer medications and follow physician orders safely and accurately
Document patient status and interventions clearly in the medical record
Collaborate with physicians, techs, and other nurses to deliver coordinated care
Educate patients and families about cardiac health and telemetry findings

Qualifications

Active RN license (California license required or eligible to obtain)
Telemetry experience preferred; prior telemetry/unit experience welcomed
Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred or required per facility
Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to act decisively
Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced setting

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Relevant certifications (BLS required; ACLS/Telemetry certifications preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
Patient assessment and clinical decision-making
Medication administration and IV therapy familiarity
Electronic health record (EHR) documentation
Prioritization, delegation, and collaborative care planning
