Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate bedside care and support patients with activities of daily living
- Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility needs
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs and patient observations
- Communicate changes in patient condition promptly to nursing staff
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection-control practices
- Support patient comfort and dignity while fostering independence
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
- Current, active state CNA license or certification
- Demonstrated experience providing direct patient care (preferred)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work night shifts and be reliable for scheduled assignments
- Basic life support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
Education
- Completion of an approved CNA training program
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient care and safe transfer techniques
- Vital signs measurement and documentation
- Infection prevention and basic clinical procedures
- Clear, compassionate communication with patients and team
- Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
- Basic EMR/charting familiarity preferred
