Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor telemetry and cardiac rhythms continuously, identifying changes early and acting decisively
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings clearly in the chart
• Administer medications and treatments safely, following established protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
• Provide patient and family education about diagnoses, telemetry monitoring, and aftercare
• Respond quickly to alarms and urgent changes in patient condition with calm, evidence-based interventions

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license valid in California (or compact licensure where applicable)
• Telemetry experience — comfortable monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred where applicable
• Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills for clear handoffs and patient education

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• Familiarity with documentation in electronic health record systems
• Solid clinical judgment and ability to escalate concerns appropriately
• Patient-focused care with strong bedside manner and teaching ability
• Teamwork and effective communication across disciplines
