Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients, assisting with activities of daily living
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nurse in charge
- Assist with safe patient transfers and mobility, following established protocols
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and patient status
- Support infection control standards, including proper PPE use and hand hygiene
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure a comfortable, dignified patient experience
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification recommended
- Ability to pass required health screenings and background checks
- Comfort with night-shift duties and working a 12-hour overnight schedule
- Strong communication skills and a teamwork mindset
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited CNA program
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient care fundamentals and safe transfer techniques
- Vital signs measurement and recording
- Infection prevention practices
- Basic charting and clinical documentation
- Ability to follow care plans and communicate observations clearly
