Roles & Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments precisely and safely
• Maintain accurate, descriptive clinical documentation of resident care
• Assign, supervise, and evaluate daily resident care duties for Nursing Assistants and Hospitality Aides
• Transcribe and carry out physician orders and assist with physician visits
• Participate actively in resident care planning and evaluations
• Assist with resident admissions and discharges, ensuring transitions are smooth and respectful
• Provide direct resident care as time and responsibilities permit, treating residents with empathy and dignity
• Respond quickly and decisively to emergencies and unexpected resident behaviors
• Protect resident confidentiality and comply with corporate and departmental policies

Qualifications

• Current and valid LPN license in the state where you will be providing care (required)
• Judgment, initiative, dependability, and a compassionate approach to resident care
• Ability to read, write, and understand English well for clear documentation and communication
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, twist, and turn frequently during an eight-hour shift
• Ability to lift or assist with 30 pounds for resident transfers and lifts (as needed)
• Comfortable pushing a medication cart and performing medication administration duties
• Calm, decisive reaction in emergencies and when residents present unexpected behaviors

Education

• Completion of an accredited practical nursing (LPN) program or equivalent
• Current LPN licensure required

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and safe dispensing practices
• Patient assessment and care planning for long-term care residents
• Clinical documentation and accurate transcription of physician orders
• Delegation and supervision of Nursing Assistants and hospitality staff
• Experience with resident admissions, discharges, and transitions of care
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact with residents and families compassionately
• Ability to work across the campus, evaluate residents, and support line staff during the shift
