Candidate Pay Rate: $29 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a mental health setting
- Take and record vital signs, assist with clinical assessments and triage
- Support treatment plans by assisting clinicians and documenting encounters
- Assist patients with activities of daily living as appropriate to role (CNA duties)
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and follow facility documentation standards
- Practice infection control, safety protocols, and site-specific policies (HDSP)
- Communicate clearly with the interdisciplinary team to promote coordinated care
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential (MA preferred)
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Experience or interest in mental health care; prior correctional facility experience is a plus
- Ability to pass background checks and meet facility requirements for HDSP
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a team
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in taking vitals and basic clinical procedures
- Comfortable with electronic health record documentation
- Knowledge of mental health care principles and therapeutic communication
- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to follow protocols, safety procedures, and maintain patient dignity
