Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to Progressive Care Unit patients on a rotating 12-hour schedule
- Perform focused patient assessments and monitor clinical status to detect and escalate changes promptly
- Administer medications and treatments safely and document care thoroughly
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized care plans
- Float to Medical-Surgical as needed to support patient care and maintain unit flow
- Support continuity of care during weekend and rotation-based coverage, ensuring patient safety and comfort
Qualifications
- Active Hawaii RN license required prior to start of contract
- Experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and/or Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) settings preferred
- Comfort and ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts and consecutive weekends as needed
- Ability to float to Med/Surg on low-census days and adapt to varying patient needs
- Strong teamwork, communication, and patient advocacy skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Familiarity with Progressive Care Unit workflows and patient monitoring
- Clinical assessment and early recognition of patient deterioration
- Safe medication administration and documentation practices
- Adaptability to rotating schedules and floating between PCU and Med/Surg
- Effective communication with patients, families and interdisciplinary teams
