Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate daily care to residents, helping maintain dignity and comfort
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
- Monitor and record vital signs and observe changes in condition, reporting concerns to nursing staff
- Support safe transfers and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and resident interactions
- Communicate respectfully and clearly with residents, families, and the care team
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Reliable transportation required (local only); rideshare services like Uber are NOT acceptable per facility notes
- Ability to work the posted day shift hours (6:30 AM - 3:00 PM)
- Comfortable working in a skilled nursing/long-term care setting
- Positive attitude, strong teamwork, and good communication skills
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on experience with personal care and activities of daily living
- Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
- Basic infection control and safety practices
- Familiarity with electronic or paper charting and documentation
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for resident-focused care
- Ability to follow care plans and escalate concerns appropriately
