Certified Nursing Assistant
Location: Belfast, ME
Shift Type: Night shift, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM (night schedule; specific days vary and will be confirmed with hiring manager)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $24 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Monitor and record patient vital signs and report significant changes to the nursing team
- Assist with safe patient transfers, mobility, and positioning to promote comfort and dignity
- Document care clearly and promptly to keep the care team informed
- Support a calm, supportive environment for patients and their families during the night hours
- Collaborate with nurses and other team members to deliver consistent, high-quality care
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) required — Maine certification preferred or eligibility to obtain
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
- Reliable, compassionate, and able to work independently during night shifts
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Education
- High school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in basic patient care and activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Knowledge of infection control and patient safety practices
- Comfortable with patient lifting/mobility techniques and use of assistive devices
- Detail-oriented documentation and basic charting skills
- Positive communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
