Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care for residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Monitor resident condition and report changes promptly to nursing leadership
- Perform safe, respectful transfers and mobility assistance to promote independence
- Document care accurately and timely in the facility record system
- Collaborate with the care team to implement individualized care plans
- Support a positive, resident-centered environment that preserves dignity and comfort
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (T-CNA classification is a plus and aligns with the facility class)
- State registry in good standing and ability to work in West Virginia
- Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Immunizations and TB screening up to facility requirements
- Background check and drug screen clearance as required for travel staff
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of an accredited CNA program and active certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Proven ability to assist with ADLs, hygiene, feeding and mobility
- Basic clinical observation skills and comfort reporting changes
- Good documentation habits and attention to detail
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
- Team collaboration and the ability to follow direction from RNs and supervisors
