Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care in a 28-bed ER with trauma and cardiac monitoring capabilities
- Assess, triage, and prioritize patients rapidly in a fast-paced environment
- Manage trauma patients and collaborate seamlessly with the trauma team in critical moments
- Continuously monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to changes promptly
- Support and de-escalate behavioral health patients using safe, patient-centered techniques
- Document patient care clearly and communicate effectively with physicians, specialists, and the care team
- Educate patients and families about care plans, next steps, and discharge instructions
Qualifications
- Active Hawaii RN License required by start of assignment
- Current status as a Registered Nurse
- Experience in Emergency Nursing with demonstrated trauma care and cardiac monitoring skills
- Comfortable working night shifts and 12-hour schedules
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented ER setting with frequent patient turnover
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN) and active RN licensure
Knowledge & Skills
- Emergency Nursing and triage best practices
- Trauma care workflows and teamwork in high-acuity situations
- Cardiac monitoring and rhythm recognition
- Behavioral health room management and de-escalation strategies
- Strong clinical judgment, quick decision-making, and clear communication
