Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care in a 28-bed ER with trauma and cardiac monitoring capabilities
• Assess, triage, and prioritize patients rapidly in a fast-paced environment
• Manage trauma patients and collaborate seamlessly with the trauma team in critical moments
• Continuously monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to changes promptly
• Support and de-escalate behavioral health patients using safe, patient-centered techniques
• Document patient care clearly and communicate effectively with physicians, specialists, and the care team
• Educate patients and families about care plans, next steps, and discharge instructions

Qualifications

• Active Hawaii RN License required by start of assignment
• Current status as a Registered Nurse
• Experience in Emergency Nursing with demonstrated trauma care and cardiac monitoring skills
• Comfortable working night shifts and 12-hour schedules
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented ER setting with frequent patient turnover

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN) and active RN licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency Nursing and triage best practices
• Trauma care workflows and teamwork in high-acuity situations
• Cardiac monitoring and rhythm recognition
• Behavioral health room management and de-escalation strategies
• Strong clinical judgment, quick decision-making, and clear communication
