Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients in the Bear Canyon rehabilitation center
• Assess patients, monitor vital signs, and document changes in condition accurately
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely and per policy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and update individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and post-discharge instructions
• Respond to emergencies and escalate concerns to providers in a timely manner
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and handoffs during shift changes

Qualifications

• Active RN license in New Mexico (or multi-state compact RN license) required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS and other specialty certifications a plus
• Prior clinical experience as a registered nurse is preferred
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently on night shifts and collaborate as part of a team
• Current immunizations and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of nursing process, medication administration, and patient assessment
• Comfortable using electronic health records and documenting care accurately
• Familiarity with infection control practices and safety protocols
• Ability to prioritize care and manage time effectively during busy shifts
• Compassionate bedside manner with strong patient/family education skills
